Swimming Pool Room

Hampshire, 2026

A commission to install oak beams into a swimming pool room. The client wanted the room to feel like a contemporary version of an old oak frame building, reminiscent of a French holiday cottage.

Chinnor Iron Sculpture

A commission from Chinnor Parish Council to make a sculpture and bench for a new housing development that celebrates its location near to the ancient Ridgeway footpath.

Wantage River Benches

South Oxfordshire, 2026

A commission from Wantage Town Council to design benches based on the theme of water, as part of their pioneering floodwater retention scheme in Wantage town centre.

Āclēa Oak Arches

South Oxfordshire, 2026

A commission from Chinnor Parish Council. This sculpture is in Oakley, the name of which comes from the Old English ‘Āclēa’, meaning ‘oak meadow’.

Waterperry Oak Barn

Oxfordshire, 2025

Waterperry House is a grade II* listed manor house. I was asked to build a new oak frame barn in the courtyard adjacent to the main house.

3 Bay Oak Garage

Hampshire, 2026

A new triple garage at a private residence. I worked with the main architects and site managers to deliver this substantial garage on a tight budget and busy site.

Aston Rowant Foot Bridge

South Oxfordshire, 2025

A commission from Aston Rowant Parish Council to build an oak bridge over marshland, next to a protected chalk stream. The brief was to build the bridge with minimal impact to the wetland area.

Pyrton PV Garage

South Oxfordshire, 2025

A private commission to construct a timber clad double garage which incorporated 10kW of solar panels and battery storage, including an automatic, overhead garage door.

Open Plan Summer House

South Oxfordshire, 2022

A timber frame summerhouse with external cedar cladding and a steel beam to span 8m wide bi-fold doors. I built this summer house on site as there was no vehicle access.

Oak Frame Garage

Great Missenden, 2022

A compact two bay oak frame garage with a parking bay and store room. The walls were integrated into the oak posts to give a seamless clean internal finish.

Summer House

Cobham, Surrey, 2022

A private commission to build a large but lightweight summer house that would require no foundations, within a tight budget.

A project to rebuild a dilapadated c18 barn. The client’s brief was to rebuild the barn to the original layout but to also include a first-floor living space.

Apsley Barn

South Oxfordshire, 2018

A steel frame building designed to look like a traditional barn. I used a steel frame to maximise the internal space and have the option of fitting a mezzanine.

I rebuilt this barn using new oak. I kept the original layout and structural design as we worked with the listed building control and planning officers to get approval for the new building.
