About Matthew Day Design
We specialise in designing and constructing bespoke spaces and buildings. I have a love of traditional building techniques and craft and my designs often combine using tradional oak frames with contemporary steel work and glass. My experience of designing and fabricating large-scale sculptures influences my approach to making unique and special buildings. (You can see some examples in the Portfolio link above)
Each project is unique and I invest all my creative and practical skills in your new building to ensure it will be the best it can be.
I’ve attained planning permission for large-scale commercial and residential projects and have years of experience of this often difficult process. My experience has often included attaining permissions in conservation areas and listed buildings. On my initial visit I can advise on the potential viability of gaining planning permission for your project.
At the outset, we begin with your vision, and from this I can create drawings and designs to help us visualise the idea and ensure I capture the essence of what you wish to create.
